Besides juggling balls there are also many good card tricks and cool
tricks with poker chips. At PokerJunkie.com you can find those tricks as
well as the best online poker sites reviews.
Difficulty:
I have assigned a difficulty rating (from 1 to 5) for each trick, based on my experience learning the trick.
1 - Basic Juggling. Easy for beginners to learn in a few hours or days. (Examples: Cascade, Columns)
2 - Simple Trick. Takes a few days to learn after you have mastered the basic cascade and columns. (Examples: Robot, Shower)
3 - Intermediate Trick. Requires a few weeks of practice to get these solid, even when you've completely mastered levels 1 and 2. (Examples: Mills Mess, Box)
4 - Applied-Intermediate Trick. Requires prior knowledge of other Intermediate tricks in addition to weeks of practice to get it solid. (Examples: Rubenstein's Revenge, Boston Mess)
5 - Advanced Trick. Requires months or years of practice on that individual trick before you can run it solid. (Examples: 5-Ball Cascade, 4-Ball Mills Mess)
Siteswap:
Siteswap notation is a numerical representation of a juggling pattern. The numbers represent the number of throws made between each ball, which also coincides with the height of each throw. Sound confusing? It can be.
Most people (non-jugglers) can just ignore the siteswap notation, and just enjoy the juggling. Jugglers though need a way to describe the pattern they are interested in. You can type this siteswap number directly into the Juggling Simulator on this site to see the pattern animated.
For an in-depth explanation of siteswaps, take a look at this site.
Prerequisite Skills:
Here I list tricks that involve skills needed to learn the current trick. It's best to make sure you can juggle the Prerequisite tricks first, before you attempt to learn the current trick.
You cannot find this juggling trick on online casino sites or even at a real casino. Pay close attention to the instructions so you can show off you skill at your next card game.
Video and Animation:
For each trick, I included a video of me performing the trick, and when possible, a simulator animation of the trick. If you set your video player to Repeat, you can watch my juggling videos continuously in a loop.
Instructions
Here is where I try to teach you how to learn each trick. These are my own instructions based on my memory of learning the trick. I hope you find them helpful. If you do end up learning a trick or tricks from my instructions, I'd love to hear about it. Send email
Variations
Some tricks have different variations listed. These are basiclly the same trick, but performed in a slightly different way. Variations of a trick can really spice up a routine, and are sometimes more exciting to watch than the original version.
