This is the cascade pattern using outside throws. It's called reverse cascade because it's the time-reversed version of the regular cascade. (If you watched a video of the basic cascade played backwards, it would look just like this one.) The reverse cascade not only looks good, it often comes in handy when transitioning between other tricks.

Instructions:

Although the reverse cascade is usually considered a little harder than the regular cascade, some people actually find this pattern more intuitive (not me). I have seen several jugglers who learned the reverse cascade first.

Start with the Juggler's Tennis pattern (this is 1 reverse throw out of every 3). The difference here though is that the ball lands in the middle, instead of all the way on the other side of the pattern like in Tennis. Then start throwing two balls in a row from the outside and back to the regular cascade. After that feels comfortable, try for three consecutive outside throws and right back to regular juggling.

Eventually, you'll get to where you can keep the outside throws going continuously. You want the throws to start from the outside and land in the middle, right in front of your body. Your hands will be making inwardly turning circles, instead of the regular, outward circles of the cascade.

Variations:

Wide Reverse Cascade - You can make your outside throws go straight up, then reach over across your body with the other hand to catch it. This results in a pretty unusual looking pattern.
